The Big Night
Party Host and Chief Cook Susan Engelke
These photos are from The Big Night(after the movie of the same name and theme), March 3, where we ate from 6 to midnight, non-stop.
I'm ashamed to say that I spent $600 on this one meal. It was the most elaborate meal I've ever prepared. It began with ten appetizers, then salad (in a cup), and soup (in a cup) all served upstairs. We then descended downstairs for the sit down part of the meal. Lamb, prime rib, chicken, roasted pork (whole), cod (whole) timpano, (an elaborate pasta dish), and some foods I've forgotten. We had eight different desserts! Italian wines and prosecco accompanied every bite. My grandson, Jonathan loaned me his sun glasses for the pig. The pig was so attractive, every woman wanted to kiss it! Not me! I had Lewis! Susan
